Leadership. It is hard to imagine a more talked-about subject in the business world; and for good reason. Doing it effectively is difficult! Here are a few blogs about leadership that I found helpful, and I think that you might too:
Conventional wisdom (or maybe urban legend?) says that leaders must be good listeners and ask good questions. Asking open-ended questions is the other half of true listening, but most leaders are not very skilled at either. To your employees, any questions you ask them that aren’t followed by your authentic listening are actually thinly veiled challenges, judgments, and assertions. Is it any wonder that they hesitate to open up to you? This “Fast Company” Blog discusses the power of authentic listening.
Many organizations are suffering a recognition problem: they can’t seem to recognize good leaders from bad ones. This “Forbes” blog discusses how to identify bad leaders by pointing out a few traits that should be obvious, but often aren’t.

Think about what bad bosses do. When we see these things portrayed on TV or in the movies, we can’t help laughing, even while we’re thinking “Whew! I don’t do those things. I’m not a bad boss.” Are you sure? This “HBR” Blog Are You Sure You Not A Bad Boss?, states that only 20% or less of your behavior can cause your employees to label you a bad boss. Does “getting it done” trump the longer process of making sound decisions?
