The other day, after speaking to a great audience nearby, I stopped by the Canadian side of Niagara Falls and took the picture below. It was a windy 33-degree day and you could see the huge ice accumulations on the edges of The Falls. I’d been there at other times in the past. The power of Niagara Falls is always amazing.
In 1895, George Westinghouse and Tesla built the power station nearby. At the time, it was the world’s largest hydroelectric plant. Tesla’s invention of alternating current changed the world.
What goes on at Niagara Falls each day shows a lot of power. Electricity is not generated by the actual falls. The large drop in river level is an excellent opportunity to divert water around the falls into power generating stations. These capture the downward movement and thus produce electricity. Tesla’s invention of alternating current made it possible to transmit that power long distances.
Like Niagara Falls, we all have tremendous power! The problem is that most people put roadblocks in their own way by the way they see themselves.

It is our self-talk that determines the level of our power. Negative self-talk is a limiter to our power. Powerful self-talk opens up the gates and allows your power to flow. These are power-generating thoughts: “I am powerful. I am talented. Everything I touch prospers and succeeds!” Which power do you want?
